Review content:
Last July, I was scouting out restaurants on Citysearch, preparing for my pending move to Nashville, when I stumbled upon Las Paletas. Having grown up in a handful of small towns in Pennsylvania, the notion of Mexican popsicles was entirely knew, exotic, and intriguing to me. I moved to Nashville in August, but it wasn't until I saw a review in the Scene that my attention was brought back to Las Paletas. I soon found myself driving up and down 12th Avenue South in search of the tiny store. I was dubious as I approached the unmarked storefront, but my fears melted away as I stepped inside and was greeted by Irma Paz. After my first tingly lick of the ""Hot"" Chocolate popsicle, I was hooked. I have since tried the Mexican Caramel, Hibiscus, and Coffee flavors...and with the coming of the warmer months, I WILL be back for more.
Pros: Delicious Popsicles, Inventive Flavors, Affordable Prices
