Review content:
Expansive, urban spot with contemporary decor serving quality Japanese fare, including good sushi/sashimi. A fair amount of the menu is geared toward the American palate (teriyaki, maki sushi with avocado or mayonaisse based fillings, etc.) It was empty and quiet on the Tuesday night I visited and the service was adequate but not totally attentive which was surprising as there were 2 servers and only 5 tables to serve. The prices were surprisingly high (average 2 pieces of sushi for just under $5, most entrees over $17) and not justified by the service or the portion amount. They are probably justified by the decor and the high rent digs. Also, parking is nearly impossible as there are only high priced lots or limited street meters. Nami hits the mark for hip Twin Cities Japanese fare but this niche has a way to go to be competitive with larger cities.
Pros: Very fresh sushi, Nice sake selection, Contemporary decor
Cons: No Parking!, Unjustifiable Prices
