Review content:
So, it's a Saturday night and you want to check out a live band, have a few drinks and unwind from your work week. You're looking for a good, local spot to check out that you've never been to before and you stumble across the Clearwater Theatre in Dundee,IL thinking it might be just what your looking for, except that what you were looking for did not include overpriced cover and pricey drinks with barely enough liquor to get a five year old intoxicated. You certainly didn't anticipate having to wait a half and hour to get your overpriced drink refilled when you and your friends are the ONLY ppl at the bar or have your bartender roll their eyes and act like you have inconvenienced their dart game when you finally get tired of waiting and ask them to refill said drink. Want food? Be prepared to wait close to an hour to get your stadium style appetizer and don't even think of asking to substitute or change anything about your order without irritating the person who is taking it. On a positive note, this place has incredible acoustics for listening to live music -- if you like waiting three hours AFTER the band is supposed to go on to hear them play...and should you get tired of waiting around for the show you came to see and politely ask for a refund of your cover charge because you're tired of waiting, consider it a lost cause....they don't give refunds no matter how unpleasant your experience has been. In the grand scheme of things, my best advice is to avoid considering the Clearwater Theater for your new hang out. You'll be gravely disappointed.
Pros: Good Acoustics
Cons: Everything Else
