If you can get into the HOB Foundation Room, go! This is a separate area at the very top of Mandalay Bay. A separate elevator with only one destination takes you there. Very cool, though we girls wondered if we were going to walk into a scene from ""Eyes Wide Shut."" Anyway, the atmosphere is very cool, with comfy sofas, dark wood, fireplace, and an eclectic mix of music -- Marvin Gay, 80's pop, reggae. It's like a grown-up house party with a bar. We got in on a Thurs. night w/o paying; must have been a special night or b/c we were a group of girls. Highly recommended, though there seemed to be a lot of older men but young women. There are also some back rooms with a rather odd vibe.
Pros: eclectic music, sophisticated & cozy, great view
