My wife and I felt like Prime Rib for a Saturday night dining. We did not feel like driving down the hill to Chico so we tried the Cozy Diner here in Paradise, CA. We went in at 5 pm., was greeted and seated. We placed our orders for the Prime Rib dinners, my wifes' was Rare and mine Med Well. We waited about 5 minutes when the waitress returned to tell us that they had no more Prime Rib. We made the choice to leave and requested our check for the soda we had ordered. She spoke with the Manager who went into the kitchen and she returned to state they only had Med Well and Well done left. (at 5pm). We decided to try it, My Wife said she would take it Med Well. When we finally received our meal it was the WORST attempt at a Prime Rib ever. It tasted old and was in several small slices and chunks, obviously it was pieced together. After tasting the food, I just ate the slice of bread that comes with this so called meal, nothing else. My Wife stated hers was barely eatable and ate very little. We informed the waitress, who apologized,we requested our check, got a check for what you would pay for 2 good meals that you consumed. As we went to pay for this waste of time and effort, I informed the shift manager of our bad experience. He apologized but took the payment in full. It was not until I mentuioned that I was writing a review that he offered to take off something the bill; he took off about $10.00 of a $33.00 tab. We paid our tab vowing to never return.
