I am writing to warn everyone in the local Triangle area about Pamela Lauziere. She owns her own business (PJ Investments NC)and is affiliated with Tarheel Mortgage and Kent Allen Properties. Ms. Lauziere first came to our attention as we were on the market for a rental property. We responded to one of her Craigslist ads that she posted as the property management contact. We set up a time to tour an Apex home rental on a Friday afternoon (after 5pm). Picked our kids up, rushed from work, waited for almost 20 minutes. Nothing. Called her and she informed us that she was in the midst of picking up her son and even though she's ""not supposed to do it"", she decided to give us the padlock key code to let ourselves in since she was still going to be at least another 15 minutes late. That should have been unprofessional warning sign #1, but we proceeded like a bunch of idiots. She eventually convinced us that she was the ""queen"" of short sales. So we not only rented the property but also entered into an agreement with her to be our real estate agent to sell the home we were leaving. She was very persistent to get the real estate agreement signed quickly. Yes, my husband and I both felt the pressure and saw this as a conflict of interest but she assured us and we were desperate (aka vulnerable) because we really wanted the rental which was in a better school district.
