Review content:
Dined at The Timbers with a couple of friends who had never been. The server was attentive and knowledgeable without being pushy. Everyone raved about the crab bisque, although I loved the Manhattan seafood chowder as I try not to order cream based soups. I did taste the bisque and it would be worth straying for something that good. The oysters were cold and juicy and shucked properly. The Island Cobia, with jamaican seasoning and mango marinade was to die for. Spicy and sweet at the same time with the local fish being moist and flavorful enough to support the topping. The side of baked sweet potato was a pleasant offering and the mixed vegetables were plentiful if not highly seasoned. The King Crab Legs were the largest any of us had ever seen, the meat being sweet and juicy although one of the legs was tough to get into as it hadn't been fully cut. The Crunchy Grouper was just that...crunchy and good. A very large portion which enabled us all to have a taste. Again, I do not order fried food, but if I was going to, I would order this. Although we were stuffed to the gills, my one friend needed a sweet finish to his meal so we ordered the chocolate bread pudding for ""the Table"". When it was served, it was big enough for the table, certainly too much for one normal person to finish. Topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. the bread pudding, rich with melted chocolate was a great contrast and although it was a lot, we managed to polish it off. All in all, a great meal in a pleasant atmosphere at a reasonable price.
Pros: I would go back!
Cons: Crowded during the season
