Recently I was very close to buying a Bose lifestlye 25 system series. I wanted to upgrade my system and was unable to justify the cost of new television, since I had just purchased one about one and half years ago. But still wanted to upgrade my system a bit. Fortunately for me I ran into Aaron at the Sound Room in chesterfield. At first I was impressed by the knowledge of the salesman, but I was thinking this is place is for the very wealthy, which of unfortunately I'm not. And I felt he was steering some toward some small version of Klipsch speaker system. After I left I was still pretty impressed with Aaron and the store, and fortunately for me I checked the internet for information on the speakers he had shown me. To my suprise I found the speakers were rated very well, and that was on an older version of what he had shown me. I was considering a new reciever too, an Altec brand I think. With all this new information, I went back the next day, and this time came well equipped withh blu-ray discs and the owners manual for my current reciever. I was going to give it the true test, of what I heard before. I have never been so shocked at the difference in the sound. The music was no longer the dominat feature in the movies, it seemed more with the movie than overpowering it. Needless to say I was impressed right off the bat. And even better Aaron had perused the manual for my current reciever and said I really did not need a new one and my old could still suffice. I ended up buying the speakers he showed me, a five speaker setup called Klpisch Quintet System. After I had gotten home with the speakers and got them setup as Aaron had recommended, I could not believe the difference in what I now over what I had before. It was just as good as sitting in a theater!!
I can not really thank Aaron enough for not his audio expertise but also in his honesty for not selling a reciever I did not really need. This was an especially great suprise after dealing with the high pressure discount stores, with people who didn't have the knowledge that Aaron did! As a matter of fact he checked the price of the speakers at a discount store and even beat that price by $25!
I just cannot say enough about this store or the salespeople there. No more discount stores for me, for all my future audio or visual needs I am going to the Sound Room!!
