I work for Special Tree, and it is not the company i thought it would be. At the interview they fool you into believing that they really care about the clients, but in reality they dont. One client mysteriously broke a femur bone and no one knew what happened to him, but he has no use of his legs. So how did that happen?? And when the house manager was called, she said not to send him to the hospital he would be ok. But the next morning when i came in for work his hip looked like it was dislocated, so we called the house nurse who then told us to send him to the hospital. After the client returned home with the brace, the house manager didnt come to check on him or see the brace for over 2 weeks, we were complaining about him getting bed sores and bm getting up his back because we werent allowed to take the brace off, she still did nothing. Causing him pressure ulcers on his back, which cost thousands of dollars to heal. I've seen a client dropped several times, and my coworkers wouldnt report it or write an I&A about it. But leave it for the next shift to get in trouble. On several occasions i've heard RSTs threaten the clients who have sexual behaviors. And the managers are HORRIBLE. I went to my boss about things going on with the clients, and she acted like it was imossible for her to come to their rooms to examine what we were talking about, in most cases the condition got worse. The manager at the Heavlin house really needs to be tested for drugs. She sat in her office all day and ate. Several times my coworkers and i have walked in on her laying across the desk, and when asked if she was ok, she stated, ""oh im just lounging around"" with very low eyes. At the Tyler houses there are a bunch of girls who start stuff with eachother all day and tell everything that goes on in the house to people at the Williams house. You can feel tension when you walk in the door, they gang up on girls and ""get them kicked out the house"" if they dont like them. And the comment i always heard was ""Black girls dont last at the Tylers"" Although i am still an employee of Special Tree Rehabilitation, this is not a place i would recommend anyone to put their injured loved ones in. I am now looking for a new job, until then im stuck with this horrible company.
