Review content:
My experience was not good at all to say the least. My dress looked incomplete (I was told that she did exactly what I asked for) and I was shocked at the end when I was given a hand written ticket that she scribbled $500 on. The shock came because I specifically asked her how much this would be on our first visit and that I needed to budget for it and she advised it would be about $200. She advised she could not take up the hem because of my ""monthly friend"" so that I needed to come back a second time when I was not bloated. When I came back the dress looked very incomplete and she agreed, so it needed to be fixed. The third and final time I came I still was not happy with the dress but at 4 days till my wedding what else could I do. Then I was popped with the bill and was in shock. I don't expect someone to work for free but I do expect someone to have the morals and business ethics to advise you when your original verbal quote is more than double before you walk out to pay. I think the other thing that bothers me about this situation is that I attended design school and dealt with many seamstresses, when you create a design or tell them what you want and it will not look complete they need to tell you, as that is part of their job and skill. I ended up going to a friend's mom that is an amazing Parisian seamstress. She purchased beautiful fabric and recreated the entire back of the dress. It was stunning and the dress of my dreams!
