Review content:
Everyone always hears about David's Cafe in Miami Beach - There are two locations - one here, and one just behind Lincoln Road. This place is for tourists (and price accordingly), though locals do pop in if they are pressed for time and must. The food is amazingly substandard and should not be considered representative of the great Cuban cuisine available here in Miami/Miami Beach (there are much better restaurants for 1/3 the price). If you are a tourist and want to try Cuban food - I would skip this and go to Versailles, (or anything else in Little Havana), or if you want something within walking distance from your hotel in South Beach, go to Puerto Sagua. The cafecito is about double what you would normally pay, and an order of HORRIBLE fries is about $4.00. You will pay with tax and tip roundabouts $17 for a beef or chicken steak meal ( which should be half the price or less). And none of it is actually good. If you are ordering from the outside window, the servers will take all their friends' orders first and make you wake upwards of 15 minutes to get a coffee. Basically - don't bother!! It's not good food, it's not real cuban food, and it's not worth the hassle or tourist prices. Skip this disgusting joint and enjoy something that is actually remarkable- South Beach has a lot better to offer!! - A group of South Beach residents
Pros: Their way of robbing tourists is non-violent
Cons: Bad food, Bad service, HORRIBLE prices, disgusting... $2.50 gatorade, $4 cold, soggy fries!?!?!?
