Review content:
In July, my girlfriend and I went into the Sprint store in Scripps Ranch (located at 9870 Hibert St.), in hopes to save some money by adding her to my phone plan. When we arrived, we were greeted by a young man who later identified himself as the acting manager. I asked him how much my bill would go up to each month if I added her to my plan and if she got the same phone as me (HTC Evo). My bill prior to adding her was 79.99 per month, he stated that my bill would go up to 129.99 per month. We then decided to discuss it among ourselves and go to best buy to look at their phone selection as well. We also discussed adding my phone line to her plan with T-mobile for 99.98 per month for a similar unlimited plan, but due to the fact that I receive a discount on my bill with Sprint that would make it 18% less than the quoted rate of 129.99 and the fact that my girlfriend liked the phone options better with Sprint, we decided to go back to the Sprint store on Hibert St. When we got back to the store we were handed off to a salesman by the acting manager we had gotten the quote from earlier. The new salesman told us in order to proceed we would need to cancel my girlfriend's cell service with T-mobile. He handled that for us, once the line was disconnected, he then presented us with the contract. It was folded in half, he unfolded it and told us were we would need to sign. As I was about to sign I realized that it was stating that my bill would be 149.99 per month and not the 129.99 that we were quoted by the acting manager from the start. I asked the salesman if this was a mistake, he called over the acting manager and he proceeded to tell me that the 20.00 dollar difference was due to a 10.00 data charge for each phone. I was immediately infuriated as he knew from the begining that I already had a phone that required the 10.00 charge and that my girlfriend wanted the same phone. I demanded that he give us the rate that he quoted us earlier, he stated that was not possible. As a salesperson myself i was appalled to see these type of tactics being used. Not only did he lie to us from the begining and waste hours of our time he purposely didn't disclose his lie until after we had canceled her cell phone service. We were left with very few options, we told the salesman we would like to reinstate the service on her phone with t-mobile. He stated that he didn't know how to do that. Left with no options we signed the paperwork and left the store in disgust. I brought this up on multiple occasions with sprint customer service, without so much as a simple apology.
