We decided saturday morning, July 4th 2011, that it was time to take a look at purchasing an new car. We had, and still have a 2001 Avalon that we purchased new. The car still runs and looks as good as it did when we bought it. We spent most of the day looking and test driving several different makes and models form several dealerships. We had no intention of purchasing another Toyota, because our experince we had during the buying process in 2001, was one we did not want to go through again. The service that was required and needed in the first couple of years was less than satisfactory.
