Review content:
I hired Ms. Starks to handle my divorce and from my experience would ask you to please, PLEASE find a different attorney. At our second meeting she checked and said our marriage was considered long term. At that point I'd been married 17 1/2 years. It was almost 19 1/2 by the time the divorce was heard in court. But as we were walking into the court room on the morning of the hearing, she says ""oh by the way, this is only a short term marriage."" Imagine what it feels like to have YOUR lawyer lie to you as your about to expect her to be defending you in a court room! The fees she charged ended up being almost 5 times what she quoted me and for no reason on my part the court proceedings were delayed time and time again. Of course I got charged every time Ms. Starks put that off. I wish there were these online reviews back when I was looking to hire an attorney as I recently found where someone else had hired Ms. Starks and said how it felt like she was working for the ex, and honestly that is exactly what it felt like. Divorce is hard enough to go through. You really need someone that will be there for you. Sadly, this is not the attorney. Good luck to you.
