It might just be called Rye We've been buying it at Fairway in NYC for years and at other retail shops in Rockland County where we live because it is the only bread my European husband will eat Goes great with lox & capers, lox and cream cheese, just about any sandwich tastes great on this bread, even peanut butter and jelly. It freezes well and makes great toast. Pros: If you live in the burbs like Rockland or Bergen County, it's accessible. Cons: If you work full-time like me and like to shop on Sunday, forget about it - they're closed.
