I started riding seven years ago as an adult and can't say enough good things about this riding school, located in the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, adjacent to Griffith Park. The teachers are patient, talented, and safety minded, the horses well cared for, and the prices reasonable. Whether you are an adult or a child, this is an excellent place to learn to ride or brush up on your riding skills. English and Western riding are both taught. There are also school shows and other fun equine events. It's a real community -- very welcoming to those just starting out.
Pros: Lovely facilities, great instructors, excellent horses
