Businiess name:  Firestone Complete Auto Care

Review content:
Firestone in Carpentersville had been recommended to me. I needed an oil change and an oxygen sensor replaced in my 2000 Saturn. I wanted diagnostics to see what else might need to be done. They told me I needed $2400 worth of repairs. I agreed to the oil change and believed them when I was told my car has 2 oxygen sensors, difficult to install. ($225 for this!) Diagnostics was $95. I was there more than 4 hours, agreed to $582 -- needed to replace the muffler mounting frame. I was teased, lied to, and was furious when I was finally able to drive away. I did not need 2 oxygen sensors. They charged me for the muffer frame ($90) but put the old one back on so it's still loose and rattling. Many of the things they were recommending be fixed have recently been fixed at other repair shops. They told me I needed a complete brake replacement for $885. Two other repair shops have told me the brakes can be fixed for half that. I know that I was robbed. I still have to get the muffler frame replaced, and the brakes fixed, but I know I'll never take my car to Firestone again -- NOT EVER! Cons: Dishonest and arrogant personnel
