Review content:
I am thai and it is rare that you find a thai restaurant that meets up to real thai style cooking. Well my search is over. This place is fantastic and just opened a couple months ago! As soon as we walked thru the door we were greeted graciously and seated fast. The menu had all the familiar, original thai dishes I love and cook myself at home. The Panang Curry was delicious with it's nutty, coconut ,spicy flare, and the Monsoon Noodles were out of this world served in a brown gravy sauce cooked in a charcoal flavored wok (that's the key and just like Thailand!) The chicken larb (minced chicken, flavored with raw rice thats toasted, grounded then sprinkled in the chicken, red chilis, and lime) was just like moms. Normally thai restaurants serve small portions but the portions at ChonSom are plentiful and you will get your moneys worth! The sushi was just as delightful and very fresh. For the appetizer try the ""Strawberries Eels Forever"" sushi roll, the Papaya Salad (eat it with rice and make it a meal for you vegans), for the soup both the Tom Yum and Tom Kha are soothing and flavorful. Oh and of course the infamous Pad Thai is the best I've had. The service is great and you won't have to wait too long to get your order like most thai restaurants. Try this place out, you will not be disappointed! I love it! One of my top 5.
