We were taking our son here in Middlefield, OH in 2009.
We stopped in unannounced a couple times and found them doing things that were illegal. Our son was in the toddler room (not during transition time) with an imprint of a sleeping cot on his face and still half asleep due to the caregiver grabbing him off the cot thinking my husband wouldn't see. He was supposed to be in the baby room in is crib ON HIS BACK. Two other times I saw my son asleep on his stomach in his crib at the end of the day when I went to pick him up. We never gave them permission to put him on his stomach and them knew we wanted him to sleep on his back. He could not yet roll onto his stomach. Ohio law states you and your Doctor have to sign a paper allowing a baby to sleep on the stomach due to it contributing to SIDS. We caught them heating his bottle in the microwave which is illegal by Ohio law. Several times I walked into the baby room in the morning to find a baby in there unsupervised which is illegal. We were constantly lied to. They did what they could to make him sleep 2x as long as he would at home. The owner denied any wrong doing. The cot imprint & bottle in the microwave was the breaking point, we pulled him out of there immediately. He didn't get the love and attention there that he now gets at his current day care center.
Cons: Caught them doing illegal actions with our son !
