If you do, MAKE SURE to get them to apply for the proper licenses so the structure gets inspected. Thankfully we did, and they had to redo some of their work. This was just the beginning of our problems with them however. First of all it took them a long time to start and when they finally did they would often leave it in some state of constuction and then disappear for a week or more. Usually they also would not return phone calls. They also have a stipulation in their standard contract as to a payment schedule. This you should alter as the last payment (just 10%) is technically due before they actually finish the work. At one point, they had torn a portion of our roof off and left for the weekend without covering it. Of course there were torrential rains that weekend and our kitchen wall got soaked. When they install the tongue and groove floor on our porch, some of the boards were reversed so some of the floor shows a tongue and groove and some do not. By the time I noticed that problem, they had already put the walls up. I thought I would be nice and not make them tear it out and restart, that was before the roof fiasco. They got in an argument with the building inspector at one point as they were doing things incorrectly. Course, that was just stupid on their part. Once they were ""done"" there were a number of things that were incorrect and I refused to pay until they would fix them. This went on for months, they even had the gall to turn me over to a collection agency even though I kept telling them I would pay once the things were fixed. Their response was something along the lines of 'well we have a guarantee'. I have had to pane down the exterior screen porch door 3 times as it sticks and the porch is not even a year old yet. The decking area's (which they installed) flooring height does not match that of the screen porch. I developed a leak in the roof around one of the skylights this winter and called them. Never did hear back from them. I could probably go on for a pretty long disertation, but you probably get the idea. Pros: unreliable Cons: quality, everything
