Review content:
After trying a few endos who seemed on the verge of incompetent, we went to Dr. Gillar. Our plan, at that time, was very limited so Dr. Gillar was pretty much the last name on the list. Count on a very long wait and then treatment from the dark ages. She told us that she didn't think it was ""humane"" to poke yourself several times a day and to only check blood glucose 2x a day (for a Type I Diabetic less than 1 year into dx!!) Then she took us off the Omnipod that was causing so much skin irritation and put us on Humulin N and Humulin R, which have to be mixed and taken only twice a day.. This is insane! The BG readings jumped off the scale, and everything that could go wrong did go wrong. It finally ended when she sent us to an allergist she promised could resolve the skin issues only to have us waste $20 on a co-pay for a doctor who told us she had already told Dr. Gillar there was NOTHING she could do and she was sorry (this doctor did refund our co-pay). Gillar is dangerous, she endangers the lives of Type I diabetics by putting them on antiquated insulins and not having them test often enough. I would not recommend anybody visit Dr. Gillar at this office.
