Review content:
Tried the reopened Carvers in Sandy Fri. night. Parking lot was full so very hopeful. However, upon entering, all hopes dashed. Lack of Host or Hostess at front desk. Surly host when he finally came out of the back. Desperately need more than one person at the front desk on Fri and Sat so people are not standing around clueless. Atmosphere was horrible. Put some tablecloths on the tables or get new ones that don't look like they fell out of the back of a semi going down the freeway. Clean up the place and improve the look. Very dated and dungeon like. Food just OK, nothing that would make me run back for. The only good thing I can think of was we were lucky enough to have a great waiter who used to be the bar manager. I noticed that the tables around us were not so lucky and had poor to non-existent service and poorly trained. PS What happened to the great dark bread they used to serve? Definitely need to add blue cheese salad dressing to their list--afterall it is a steak house!!!
Pros: Great Waiter
Cons: Atmosphere, Host/Hostess
