UPDATE: Had lunch here last week and it was awesome. Without a doubt the best sandwich I've had in a long time is Sunset's Beef Brisket sandwich. Extremely tender and flavorful brisket beats out that of local BBQ joints. Highly recommend.
Had lunch a couple of weeks ago in the restaurant which once housed Las Ramblas, now a totally different concept introducing a fresh menu and atmosphere. The inside is very clean and southern in style. Wicker chairs at the tables and although it's a laid back atmosphere, the tables are dressed as if it were more on the formal side.
The lunch menu is a nice spread of items including burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. I had ordered the French Dip which was rather large in portion and very fresh tasting. It came with a choice of side and I had ordered the macaroni and cheese, which was pretty good. My colleague had the burger with fries and had no complaints either.
The one issue that I could see being a problem with this place is the smell. Being that it's a wood fired cooking system in place, it leaves the dining room smelling of a fire or cooked food on a fire. Personally I don't really mind it, I actually think it gives it a nice rustic and quality feel to the way they prepare the food, but I could see how some may be turned away by it.
I will try this place again, maybe for dinner at some point. I think they will do just fine in this neighborhood, but they definitely need some more advertising and street presence. The sign attached to the building goes along with their rustic theme, but its a brown sign on a brick facade, which really just blends together if you're not paying attention.
Pros: New, Aiming to Please, Decently Sized Menu
Cons: Hidden, Smell of Wood Burning Throughout
