Businiess name:  Veranda Cafe
Review by:  Jane M.
Review content:
Veranda's is a sunny little family owned cafe that looks and feels a bit like a cozy tea room but with more character..maybe because the staff are so real and friendly..There's nothing pretentious about this place. They do a good job and they know it, but they're still genuinely glad you choose to stop in, and they hope you'll come again. Both indoor and outdoor patio seating are available, and a small gift boutique is just inside the front door with cool stuff like handmade soaps, silver spoons, tea sets, and sassy embroidered kitchen towels. Veranda's doesn't look remarkable from the outside..but it truly is. The lunch menu is inexpensive, but classy- with different soups, salads and desserts made daily. I often just get a sandwich and chips and even that is spectacular...fresh homemade bread, and salty thick potato chips. Eating here is fun and makes me feel pampered like I've just attended a tea party, but minus the attitude. Definitely stop in if you're in Black Mountain. I think they close early, though- maybe @ 3...?
