Review content:
Bought a new 2011 F250 and worked with a local Ford Dealer who bought a lift kit and tires from 4wheelparts in Lynnwood. Both the Ford dealer and I check and confirmed which wheels and tires would work with the 4"" lift kit purchased. In the end the wheel/tire combination did not fit so the Ford dealer trimmed as much as they could off the plastic in front/behind the wheels. In the end plastic was trimmed down to metal (no more trimming is possible). I first tried to go back to 4wheel parts to work with them to get wheels with more offset or narrower tires. They sent me back to the ford dealer and said I had to work with them and that they would work with the ford dealer. Now 4wheel parts is telling the ford dealer that they are responsible as they bought something that won't fit and are giving the local ford dealer a run-around. I then went back to 4wheelparts one last time to try for resolution, but the store manager basically said the ford dealer nor I can return installed parts and the won't exchange or trade either. After discussing option, I asked the mgr what he position would be if I went to the better business bureau and he said that I was threatening him - what? I siad the BBB is to help resolve business versus owners issue for resolution and he kept insisting that I was treating him and his store. I finally asked him to please have one of his staff join in our our conversation for whiteness that I was not threatening him at all, just trying to get customer satisfaction and a tire/wheel combination that would work on my truck. As it is the tires drag/rub on the fenders overtime I drive it. Absolutely terrible customer support and I'm not sure how they expect anyone to drive a truck that has constant tire dragging. I ask how they could have possibly sold the Ford Dealer a combination that did not work and the mgr said, ""we will sell anything to anyone that wants it"". I said, does that include recommending something that clearly does not work. His response was that I should have had 4wheelparts install the tires and rims and he could not and would not do anything. In all my years, this has got to be the most frustrating thing I've ever experienced and now I have a brand new truck that I can hardly drive other than in a straight line. Seems like common sense that any store that sold a combination of wheels, tires and a lift that dont' work would be more than willing to work with a customer to with change our wheels for more offset or work an alternate tire size. Truly unbelievable. In the end I went to discount tires and explained the problem - well guess what, discount tires is ordering a new set of wheels for me and they'll exchange out the wheel for only the cost of mounting and balancing. Now, that is customer services/support. So, my advise is that if you want wheels and tires, staty away from 4wheelparts and go to discount tires.
