Review content:
I am a 50 year old former US Marine and Federal worker. On August 13, 2007, I was removed from my position as a Federal supervisor, due to lower spinal lumbar de-genitive decease. I have file for Social Security Disability, and have been denied twice. I now have been put into the position of hiring an attorney to file an appeal on my be haft with the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review. After 17 months with only $200 dollars a month from welfare to maintain my home and other expenses, I have found myself in foreclosure on my home, with medical bills debt, credit card debt, and other financial problems. The disability system needs to be able process individual claims in a timely manner so that americans who have worked all their lives putting money into disability as insurance back-up when a medical disability occurs. I've been informed by an attorney that It will be another year or more before my claim is heard, because of the large backlog of claims pending with the Office of Disability Adjudication and review court. I write this review for other americans to read, and help me to inform Washington DC of the problems with the disability system. If you are like myself; please support my efforts in trying to get relief from a federal system that I have pay into all my working years. Pros: One of the Worst Federal Progams Cons: Timely Processing of Claims
