Perfect staycation destination! I love living in Baltimore, but the hustle and bustle of life tends to get in the way of enjoying everything the city has to offer. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon an inn - in the heart of the city! Who knew bed and breakfasts existed in the city!?!? Rachael's Dowry Bed and Breakfast is the perfect oxymoron - quaint, charming inn vs. busy city. . . Federalist period furniture and decor vs. iPod docking station and white noise machines. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud because the bed and pillows were so billowy and comfortable. The claw-foot tub in my bathroom was the perfect escape within my escape - I soaked in the tub with the shutters open and enjoyed part of the skyline! Rachel's Dowry inn keepers Norman (not as in Bates) and Tish were hospitable and gracious. The gourmet breakfasts, freshly brewed coffee, and plump fresh fruit were very enjoyable, but not as enjoyable as the time spent in conversation with Norman and Tish. I look forward to my next staycation - with Rachael's so close to the light rail, Inner Harbor, Federal Hill, and the Gallery Mall - I hope the next staycation is earlier rather than later.
THANK YOU for a memorable, relaxing stay!
