I have known Nina since I was in high school. Now for being of mixed heritage, I have two types of hair: frizzy and wavy curly. Out of all the salons I went to or tried to go to, none could understand just how complicated my hair was. Put it simply: these other salons did not have the services that would be beneficial for my hair. Nina, being of Japanese and African-American mix, understood my hair and how difficult it was for me growing up (on both my side and our parents side). She also understood how important hair is for African American women; how hair is everything for a women PERIOD. She makes us look good. And every time I walk out the of her salon, I feel 100% confident, radiant, and beautiful.
I am now 22 years old and Nina just introduced me to the Brazilian Blowout. I must say....IT'S FANTASTIC! Ladies, to come out of the shower with straight hair and not have to worry about blow drying it or straightening it; it's a blessing! Not only that my hair has grown out SIGNIFICANTLY. What are you ladies waiting for!? GET IT DONE. It is a must have!
Lastly, the staff is fantastic here. Nina's just doesn't greet you with a handshake, she greets you with a hug and a big smile. And her staff is fantastic. I always feel like I can talk about anything with them and they will listen and give me advice about my hair and my life. With Nina and her staff, you're not just a client, you're a friend as well.
