The person on the phone for Stanley Steemer pretty much lied. I mean, maybe they didn't know, or there was miscommunication somewhere, but they said that that the cleaners would move furniture as long as I ""picked up all the little stuff.""
They didn't move furniture really, not at all. They said ""We don't move any furniture with any electronic equipment on it whatsoever"" and they ""don't move beds."" But I think they were being modest in their assessment of their lack of moving furniture. Not a single piece of my furniture was moved one centimeter as far as i could tell, and they just steam-cleaned around it.
See, if I had known ahead of time, I could've made other arrangements, such as finding a place that will either A) Move your furniture or B) Actually give you factual information about the service they do.
