Review content:
Hidden in over in 1 Kendall Square is the Friendly Toast, the yummy 1950's flavored breakfast shoppe.
As their second foray into breakfast shops, the first being in Portsmouth NH, I had hoped they would open in a more accessible location than 1 Kendall - a great place for office-worker lunch stops, not for an tasty brunch and breakfast joint.
I've enjoyed their french toast, and their ""Almond Joy Pancakes"" - coconut and chocolate chips! I highly suggest you try the pancakes for your first visit and french toast for later visits.
If you're feeling more up for egg or potato based meal, try the a hearty Costa Rican: 2 sunny side up eggs with melted provolone and sour cream over black beans and plum tomatos, served with homfries.
Its too bad about their location - they would make a killing in Inman (Across from the All Star Sandwich Bar - hint hint, its available for lease!)
Pros: Yummy pancakes!
Cons: Pricy and hidden
