Review content:
All 3 of my kids attended CNS and I have nothing but praise. The school is old-fashioned in the sense that it focuses more on social development (paying attention, manners, working with others) than ""academics"" -- and what 3 or 4 year old needs grilling in academics? The staff is warm, loving and kind, mostly moms and grandmoms with many years' experience with children. In addition to teaching children basics like the alphabet, opposites and numbers, the school also includes field trips (e.g. to the fire house, to a local vet) and cute activities (e.g. ""Blue Day"" - each child wears blue). The school has a Fall Fair and auction fundraiser, and offers a few scholarships each year for families struggling to pay preschool tuition. Teachers at my kids' elementary school comment that they can always tell which children have attended CNS because they behave beautifully in class and are independent and curious. Just apply for a spot early, as they do fill up quickly.
Pros: loving staff, focus on developing independence/social skills, no high pressure
