I feel that the Luzerne County Correctional Facility is another embarrasing and shameful part of the Luzerne County corruption scandel.It turns my stomache to know that many disgusting things are going on in this facility and even sadder the facility is completly aware of it.This is a prison for people that are being punished for crimes that they have commited not a country club.Many of the inmates are forming relationships and bonds with other inmates by using the toliets as a means of communication as well as skywritting.When I brought this to the attention of the prison I was told 'well we can't remove the toliets is that what you want 'us to do acting like I was the foolish one when the foolishness is on them for not securing the facility better. I truley believe that this is a severe issue and should be dealt with. As well as in the back of thefacility where the inmates have yard there is a place where they can play volleyball are windows to different floors of the prison and it is visable for the men and woman to see eachother and they regarly expose thier genitals to one another but where are the gaurds when this is being done .I was told well there are obviously more of them than us and we have begun paintng the back windows due to this problem and havent gotten to the female windows yet.Well if I think correctly wouldn't it of made sense to start painting the women's floor first to eliminate the male and female nonsense that occurs in the facility,right? Or is there to this matter than what is being admitted.But it dosent stop there even though many of your stomaches are probably turning already but this has even gone as far as the inmates leaving items in the yard for the men or women to retrive and eat because they have covered them in their bodily fluids.When I mentioned how unsanitary and that many dieses that could be contracted through all these means of ""Companionship'' I was told that sadly many of the female inmates have contracted dieses from this and still it goes on.I know there are of course more inmates than correctional officers but many of them should due their jobs and maybe this wouldn't be happening.Many families are suffering on the outside already with the fact that their loved one is locked up and then actually many of those families are broken up by these distrubing things due to their loved one finding 'LOVE' inside the prision walls.Many supposably do it out of lonliness and bordem but they wouldn't be bored or lonley if they didn't put themselves there in the first place.Bottom line is this needs to come to an end NOW and the proper actions should be taken within the facilities.Don't keep pushing it over as if it is nothing because it may not be nothing to some but it is a great deal to others and it shouldn't be ignored!!!
