My family and I came to Coos Bay about 3 years ago, in that time we took our dog to ""Happy Trails"" a dog salon located in pony village mail. They did an okay job, however they told us a set price for Curlie, but when we came back the price miraculously changed, a reoccurring problem we are often faced with. They told us a horrible story of a place where they gouged some poor puppy's eye out, what was this place? Puppy Love Grooming & Supplies, for this story we did not take Curlie there. After two years went by, we finally decided to give it a chance because we weren't having much luck with every other place, and who knows if that story is even true. Well we went there, the lady at the front told us to bring Curlie in so she could see her size and we could go over her cut and the price. We took Curlie in and she told us she understood what kind of cut we wanted, and told us the price could be anywhere from 25-30$. We handed her over and went on our way anxiously awaiting their call. A couple hours later, we received a call and went over to pick her up. When we arrived, a different lady with straggly grey hair said the price was going to be 47$. Immediately my mother and I stood our ground, ""Whow, excuse me but the lady that was in hear earlier told us that she would cost anywhere from 25-30$."" She repeatedly saying she was sorry when she obviously was not, she would not back down. We told her to get the manager, an overly sized women walked in, she did not look or say anything to us, it was clear that she was only interested in wrongly collecting money and did not care about her customer. She and the straggly haired lady talked quietly a few feet away from us, low enough to where we could not hear. Next thing, the first lady who we talked to about the price came in, oh good finally some peace, she will say something, nope. She said that was the ""base"" price, no actually, she did not. During this heated conversation, Curlie behind the counter was being held hostage, crying, whining, barking for us, they would not release her until we paid their ridiculously overly priced charge. Finally, after 20 minutes of a pointless argument, we were forced to pay 47$. When Curlie finally came out, which we had to wait an additional 10 minutes, her cut was not even right! We took our dog but on our way out, ""next time you guys come back remember she's going to be extra then the base price"", the lady behind the counter says, yeah...we'll be coming back. We have taken Curlie to many different grooming places, and not once have we ever been charged this much before, and not once have we ever had such a appalling experience. Now, I'm thinking maybe the story we first heard about them was true. Puppy Love?!? More like Money Love
