Review content:
I have had the opportunity to visit a number of salons across the country, many of which are AVEDA salons. AVEDA is a company that deserves respect due to its green business practices and great products. Unfortunately, this salon does not deserve much respect, as the owner has no respect for her clients. Both as a client and an observer during my one recent visit (June 2008) to the salon, I found that she spent a majority of her time feeding her own ego or taking telephone calls about personal matters or rescheduling other clients to accommodate what appeared to be a ""VIP"" client. Had I been rescheduled in such an inconsiderate manner, I would have canceled my appointment (and possibly received a better salon experience elsewhere). The level of professionalism slowly sank as the phone calls (4 during my service) multiplied and her screaming granddaughter ran throughout the salon. I have had a higher level of relaxation at Target. The service was mediocre, at best. The one positive experience was my interaction with the receptionist who did have a great amount of knowledge about the products and assisted me in choosing a new skin care product that I love. Overall, I recommend AVEDA, but recommend that you seek out an alternative salon for services.
