Review content:
There are very few positive things I can say about my personal experience at Karl's, other than they have fair prices and are convenient if you live or work in the city. Their lack of professionalism and customer service defies all logic for a company that should be in the business of making people happy.
Our son was born in March 2010. I can look past the initial delivery delay (we got his furniture in May '10 from a February order) because we're all at the mercy of overseas manufacturers and shipping transit times. What is inexcusable, however, is that I have been lied to, blown off, given false promises, and as of November 2011, I still do not have resolution to a hutch that was cracked on both sides by the installers.
Brad at the store has taken my name and number on no less than 12 occasions and has never called me back. Adam and I have spoken half a dozen times, and in March 2011 I was assured that the replacement hutch would be delivered in less than 8 weeks. It's been nearly 8 months since the last broken promise, and in my conversation with Adam today, it was like we were talking for the first time. Oh, and they no longer deal with that manufacturer (Pali), so I'll probably never get a hutch to replace the one that was assembled incorrectly and has cracked sides with screws poking through, waiting to injure someone.
Buyer beware!
