Review content:
My wife and I went to Freeport for a Biker Rally and Blues Festival Labor Day weekend 2011. Got the room and went to relax and maybe swim before the festival. Room was dark, hot and smelly. Called the front desk about the heat. Guy came up and said he just turned the A/C on and we should give it a few hours to cool down...HUH?? Room smelled of insecticide and body odor and curtains were screwed to the rod so no natural light could get in. Bathroom was nasty where you wouldn't want to sit on the old toilet seat. Coffee pot was there but no creamer, sugar, stirrers or even cups so that was useless. Pool was green so no swimming unless you like swimming in a swamp. People in other rooms were scary and I would not want to be there after dark. We did not take our shoes off due to the condition of the nasty carpet. We stayed, mostly on the balcony because it was cooler than the room, for one hour and checked out. Needless to say they said ""no refunds"" and kept our $75 but we were just glad to get out alive and hopefully without any medical conditions from the hour long stay. I just want to warn others so they don't go through what we did. I have to give it a star because they won't let me put a -5 stars. It was the worst hotel experience me and my wife ever had.
