The Service Plan is a Joke. They always push you to purchase their service plan for your new Computer. I purchased an HP laptop with the service plan and I'm glad I did because the DVD drive broke only after 10 months; I only used the DVD drive maybe 10 times. But the GEEK Squad don't answer their phones (called them 8 times and they answered 1 time), it took them 2.5 weeks to run their diagnostics to tell me that my DVD drive needed to be replaced. When I finally got through to talk to a Geek Squad rep, she told me that they needed my permission to send the Laptop out for repairs. She told me that it would take 2 to 3 weeks for repairs. If I didn't call, my laptop would have been just sitting on their shelf. So the total time for repairs will probably take 5 - 6 weeks at the least; I'll probably have to stay on them to make sure my computer is repaired in 6 weeks. When I was there at Best Buy, the line for Computer repairs was Long, almost as long as the check-out line. I wondered if the computers were crappy and they needed a service plan to keep them running.
Pros: Typical Best Buy store with pretty much all the electronic goods.
Cons: poor cutomer Service & thier ability to follow through on thier end of the service plan.
