Review content:
This small restaurant may appear like any other Mexican food joint, but the food is delicious! The meat is cut, seasoned, and prepared there so you know you're eating fresh. The hot sauces (salsa roja is very hot with a hint of clove and cumin and salsa verde is hot as well and tastes like chile verde and tomatillos) and do not compare to others- that includes to the salsas from King Taco. The prices are cheap, mostly under $5, portions are generous, and the service is good as well. I too was big on La Mexicana, most popularly known as 4th Street tacos, but every customer that was devoted to 4th Street Tacos that I've refered to Chapala, is permenantly glued to Tacos Chapala. I am a returning and devoted customer to Tacos Chapala because they use recipies from there roots back to Tepatitlan, Jalisco-Mexico.
Pros: Great food and greater (low) price!
Cons: They are not open 24 hours
