Review content:
I strongly encourage people to stay away from the Braselton-Stover House. I had a really bad experience there. I was a guest at a wedding in April 2011. I accidentally left my jacket behind at the venue. When I called them back half a day later to see about coming back to get it, I was told by Mary Stover, the owner, that she does not have a lost-and-found and that she just gave my jacket away to a stranger. She admitted to me that she did not know the name of the person to whom she gave my jacket and that she knew that he was not the owner. She gave it to him anyway and he left with it. I was incredulous. The owner basically said that it was my tough luck and that they get rid of everything that is left behind as a wedding party leaves. She does not like to deal with the mess, since she runs a tidy place. The jacket was worth over $125. She gave my jacket away less than 8 hours after I left to a guy who she knew was not the owner of the jacket just so she did not have to hassle with it. It was a really crummy thing to do and speaks volumes about what people can expect when dealing with this place. The owner told me that if I did not like their policy, then I should get a lawyer. That was really cold-hearted. She refused to discuss it with me or help me locate the person who left with it. Obviously, this place is not high on my list of venues to recommend to anyone at any time. Stay away from these people and their place of business.
