Businiess name:  Usmania Restaurant

Review content:
I've visited Usmania a number of times since my 2007 review & am glad to say that my experience has not changed since. Each visit has resulted in great food, pleasant & friendly wait staff (including an appreciative table-side visit by the chef/owner) & fast service. Out-of-town guests familiar with similar cuisine were likewise pleased as they took the almost shocking ;-) opportunity to order a sampling of almost every dish on the menu. Our most recent visit , in December 2008, resulted in an excellent Hummus w/ hot, crispy Naan, Saag Paneer ($8.95 for entire meal including rice pilau and vegetables) and Lamb Boti Kebab ($10.95 including rice pilau & vegetables). Having had both the Lamb Boti (chunks of marinated lamb) and the Lamb Shish Kebab (ground lamb and spices), I recommend the Shish Kebab for its excellent mix of spices (lamb purists will enjoy the Boti Kebab). I have to say, again, that I really appreciate the vegetables that come with each entree. They are always crisp/tender, and never limp/lifeless. The veggies make the meal quite well-rounded. Also, in the past, we've tried and enjoyed their buttermilk Lassi ($3.50) and Mango Lassi ($3.95) drinks. Though we've only been in the evening, I understand that they do offer a buffet -- and this is probably the best way to sample their food. Once again, I still recommend Usmania for a great food- and cultural experience out here in the white-bread 'burbs of Snohomish County! Pros: Restaurant is not very busy (a table is always available). Cons: Restaurant is not very busy (I don't want them to go out of business).
