Review content:
I am a concierge and I recommended this restaurant day after day because it was really close to my hotel, family owned, middle range Italian restaurant that no one ever came back and complained about. I decided to go there with my boyfriend, his brother and his mother for dinner one afternoon. The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion: just enough lighting, just enough music, just enough elbow room. The waitress was nice, though hard to understand and it seems like most places in LA re-filling a dinners glass is an uncouth practice. For four grown adults they served us one tiny piece of bread, but we were ok with that because its a family owned Italian restaurant so the portions are going to be huge right? Wrong. The menu was very limited with appetizing entree options specified for certain days- no fail we all drooled over options available on nights other than the current one. The food was- eh not bad, but not great and we didnt care that the portions werent big because we didnt really care to have the food for lunch the next day. The experience was blah- no wonder no one ever talked bad about it. Theres not much to talk about. Pros: it's ambience didn't offend me Cons: the portions, attention, food
