Review content:
I first met Dr. McCaleb in 1995 when he practiced in Seattle. My cat, Moses, was drooling and my regular vet could not find the cause. It took Dr. McCaleb slightly more than 10 minutes to find Moses' salivary tumor. The operation he performed and a subsequent one by a specialist he recommended gave Moses many extra months of life in reasonable comfort. When Dr. McCaleb started his solo practice in Silver Firs, I took my 7 other cats to him for their annual check ups. I particularly liked the gentle way he gave shots. My cats did too. He saw them through the diseases of old age: diabetes, lymphoma and kidney failure. All my cats enjoyed a high quality of life in spite of their illnesses. Along the way, Dr. McCaleb taught me how to give insulin shots as well as how to give fluids for hydration. This saved me countless trips to his office and substantial savings as well. Now that I have a dog, Abby, we look forward to our annual visit to Silver Firs. It's a 30 mile trip for us, but I would gladly drive twice as far for the consistent and first-rate care Dr. McCaleb provides on a routine basis. Pros: Expert and Gentle Care
