Review content:
After pre-paying for a cremation package so that her family would not have to make those kind of tough decisions upon her death Blount and Curry charged the family almost 3000$ additional based on lies and deceit.
The family wanted the service to be Saturday. Blount and Curry and in particular, Rebecca Paupline, lied saying that they could not have the service Saturday without charging these additional exorbitant fees. She stated that this was because the coroner would not have signed off yet. The deceased had passed on Monday and the coroner has 72 hours from death to sign the paperwork. Lie number 1 from Blount and Curry. Secondly, she stated that the hospice the deceased had been at had not yet signed off. Upon calling the hospice they confirmed that they had signed off on Monday, upon releasing the deceased's body, another lie from Blount and Curry. Finally, she stated that since the forms were not signed the body could not yet be cremated so the family would have to rent a casket and pay for the embalming process so as to have the service Saturday. When asked about why the body would need embalmed when cremation would occur so soon Blount and Curry stated that embalming was required, which it is not in the state of Florida. Rather than arguing in a time of mourning the 3000$ was paid, but this is simply unacceptable.
To top it off, during the time prior to the service when mourners are being introspective and reflective Rebecca Paupline came into the church service area and without paology announced ""Did anyone lose a key to Hyatt? I found a key to the Hyatt"" No one came forward. It was inappropriate to do this. It was not a credit card or Id card, but a room key that is free and simple to replace.
