A perennial favorite of mine. Great menu (changes periodically, much to my dismay when I find a favorite). I love the Prix Fixe... for $28 you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert. A good deal considering it costs about that much for a chain restaurant, and the food here beats that hands down. The bernaisse sauce on the Chicken Oscar w/Lump Crab meat is to die for. The Seafood Crepes are the best appetizer (though they're now an entree unless you go regular menu), flavorful with just a hint of spice and full of seafood, they're surprisingly delicate. They never disappoint. Overall, the staff is attentive and good. The food is usually excellent, but I will agree that it can vary at times (I've never been disappointed. It always varies between very good and stellar.) Very nice wine list, with a wide range to suit most tastes with good selections in every category. The desserts are also good, though some tend to be a little on the heavy side. I like the Creme Brulee, Hazelenut Obsession... grand marnier sauce really ties it together with chocolate mousse and ganache and hazelnut. Warning: there is no Prix Fixe in December. Also, there is a discount day for wine weekly. Servings are ample. Having just enough to satisfy... or perhaps one to two extra bites left. Porch can get chilly in winter months. Bring your significant other, it's a great date, and a lovely place to ""pop the question"" my husband was the 2nd generation in his family to do so there. And, of course, I said yes over a lovely bottle of Joh. Jos. Prum riesling and prix fixe dessert. (Hey, we're teachers... so we gotta cut corners sometimes... like that prix fixe. The cheap way to eat there, without feeling cheated at all. The menu selections are still luxurious, if somewhat paired back.)
