Review content:
I was lucky to find Tommy Featherston through a recommendation from Tyndol Ford in Gastonia. Apparently Tommy worked as a mechanic for Ford dealers in the area for 25 years or more before opening this small two bay garage next to his house located just off New Hope Road between Gastonia and Cramerton, NC. I recently bought a 1978 Lincoln Continental Coupe and really hoped to find a personal mechanic, someone I could trust and depend on to take care of my car. Tommy is, in my mind, the definition of a good old boy. I do not think he would mind the description. He is a skilled and capable mechanic. The first time I visited, there was a WWII vintage Jeep on a lift with the engine on the floor. The next time, there was a 1940 Chevrolet on the lift, so Tommy can clearly work on anything. My Lincoln only had 60,000 miles but hadn't been driven in 10 years. Tommy put in all new gaskets, seals, belts, then brakes, master cylinder, and shocks. He did an excellent job at a very fair price (the only time I took my car to a Ford dealer, they wanted $85 JUST TO LOOK AT IT). I am thrilled that Tommy Featherson is my mechanic. I like him. I trust him. I am honored to recommend him. Sincerely, Bob Burke Pros: Great Prices and Trusted Service Cons: Small shop, so important to call in advance
