The lady there was friendly as I needed a dress altered for my daughter. She quoted it being done within a week for no more than $80 for shoulder hem, bottom hem and side hems. I thought that seemed high, but at that point she had already pinned it.
I couldn't get to pick it up within a week b/c it was right after Christmas and so I gave her an extra week and went to pick it up 2 wks after I originally dropped it off. She hadn't touched it! Not only was it not ready, she still couldn't give me an exact quote on the price.
She said she would have it done that day, so yes, she is able to do a quick turn around, but when I went to pick it up she wanted to charge me $98!!!! The dress only costs $40. I refused to pay that much and told her that I would only pay the original price and even that should be discounted b/c it wasn't ready on time and is a high price anyway. She agreed to the $80 price, after much debate, then asked why I still wasn't happy. I explained that I felt like for the dress not being ready on time, that I shouldn't have to pay full price...and she proceeded to blame me for not picking up the dress on time!! That makes no difference at all in this situation. The dress would have not been finished either way, and I'm the customer and should be able to pick up the dress a few days later if necessary. In my opinion, you can get the same work done for a much more reasonable price with better customer service somewhere else. Don't waste your time.
