Review content:
I run a nonprofit organization called Helping Hands (www.facebookc.com/helpinghandsco). When we began looking for screen printing services for shirts and merchandise for our charity, there were endless options out there. We knew that we wanted someone local because supporting local businesses is a huge thing for us and we wanted to be a part of the process to ensure that our shirts came out exactly as we wanted them. We also were feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of garment materials and styles. The quality and fit of our materials is of major importance because if people won't wear it, they simply won't buy it. When we inquired about printing with DSPE, they invited us down to the shop before we had even spoken of prices or received quotes (something no other shop had done for me, ever). Amanda took the time to ask about our organization and what we were looking for. She showed us sample garments and let us try some on to get a feel for fit and materials. Being able to compare garments to ensure that our shirts were not only of high quality, but were also fashionable and fun, made all the difference. She also talked to us about how they differ from other shops in that they use environmentally friendly water-based inks. I worked in a screen printing shop in Fort Collins when I was younger and remember using the harsh oil-based inks and was glad that they don't do that. Most prints made with oil-based inks are thick and the shirt doesn't have a breathable and light feel or appearance. I figured that the cost was going to be much higher than other shops due to the much better level of customer service and attention to detail, but they were actually equal to or better than almost every shop in Denver who wanted to sell us lower quality shirts made with standard inks. This was a great experience and our prints came out looking fantastic! Our organization does all our printing with DSPE now. ~Tyson McCormick~ Founder/Director - Helping Hands facebook.com/helpinghandsco
