I was a first-time homebuyer new to the area, but I have friends in the area. They suggested when I was getting ready to move that I should call Shaun at Crestone Mortgage to arrange to buy a house in the area. He was so helpful. He explained the whole process to me, set me up with a fantastic real estate agent, and got me a great rate. He talked to me about what my plans for the future were--how long you're going to stay in a house makes a difference when choosing a loan, apparently--and what kind of budget I was on. He really made sure that the loan I got would work right for me. And you know what? I'm totally happy! The realtor found me a perfect house, and I've been making payments happily for the last year. There were no surprises, no sticker shock, no sneaky fees added at the last minute. I feel confident now that when I decide to move up to a larger home, I'll be ready, and I KNOW who my lender will be!
Pros: service, rates, helpful, available all the time (I called once on Sunday at 9--and he answered!)
