Review content:
Peninsula has two independant living facilities for mentally ill adults known as Horizon House 1 and Horizon House 2, which are managed by American Apartment Rentals. On Thursday, May 8, my son?s Peninsula case manager informed me that my son had been accepted for admission to Peninsula?s Horizon House 2 in Blount County. An admission meeting was organized for the following morning and I was told that Joel could move in any time afterward. Later the same day, I was informed that my son had suddenly been rejected with no explanation. I phoned American Apartment Management and spoke with Patty Owenby, who was evasive but promised to get to the bottom of it and call me back. That was May 9th and I never heard back from her despite leaving two more phone messages. I also spoke with Dawn White, who manages the two houses for American Apartment Management, and received the same non-commital brush off.
