Review content:
I've always had a hard time finding hair stylists and my complaint is always that the cut isn't right, or they can't help me improve my hair or the price just keeps skyrocketing. I have long, thick, frizzy hair that frustrates me all the time, and I can't always spend a lot of money to maintain it, and I don't have the patience to style it either. I like to brush and run. I thought I was doing well finding a hairstylist who already had long hair, but that doesn't always do the trick, either, and the prices just kept going up and then she screwed up my appt right before I went on vacation because of a name mixup on the calendar. So, I did something I've never done before. I went to services on Craigslist and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw various postings by a hairstylist who loves long hair and supposedly knows all the answers. The price wasn't cheaper than what I was paying, but the first haircut's free, so I thought I'd give it a try. Might be exactly what I need and worth the extra cost. Jahn Hoover is the first person EVER to answer my questions about what I can do about frizz, etc. Instead of just telling me to use conditioner, he was SPECIFIC and told me exactly what to use and when and how. He even gives a relaxing head/neck massage before starting. It's been less than a week since my haircut, but I can tell you, it's much lighter, I can comb it much easier, I have less knots and I'm just now trying his suggestions for making my hair get and stay beautiful. You have to at least give him a try for a free haircut. I did pay him to do my brows and bought a product. The salon is very nice. Very artistic and peaceful. It's not just hair, but good for the mind and soul, too. Pros: attractive atmosphere, uncrowded location, time accomodations Cons: parking is tight
